Our SPORT+ initiative has exceeded all our expectations.
We are creating regular sporting opportunities for children in rural Ukraine, coordinated by professional coaches.
SPORT+ started exactly one year ago, with one volleyball coach and a few dozen children.
Today, two volleyball coaches, a football coach and a basketball coach work with hundreds of schoolchildren every day. We supply the children's teams with jerseys, replace their missing sports equipment on a small but regular basis, support them in competitions and provide them with essential equipment that can keep the gyms lighted in the case of regular blackouts. These training sessions and activities not only improve the physical and mental health of the children, but also teach them teamwork skills that will benefit them in their daily lives and in their studies.
